Despite being the largest demographic group, many young Nigerians remain disengaged from governance and civic participation. This lack of active citizenship fuels weak accountability and poor leadership in communities, including those in Enugu State.
Designed with the goal promote active citizenship and leadership among youths in Nigeria and Enugu state. The Raising Voices Project trains young people in Enugu State to become active, informed, and engaged citizens. Through civic education and leadership development activities, youths gain the tools to speak up, participate in decision-making, and lead change in their communities.
A new wave of youth leaders is emerging; more vocal, more informed, and more involved in shaping the future of their communities and the state.
